Chamomile

Chamomile

Chamaemelum nobile

Chamomile has small daisy-like flowers with a sweet apple-like fragrance, and is popular for its calming and sleep-promoting properties.

Chamomile Tea Preparation

  4 flowers
  2-10 minutes

Pick 4 fully opened flowers. It is best to pick them in the morning after the dew has dried and before the sun is too hot. This is when the essential oil is most potent and will make the best tea. Gently pluck them by hand, being careful of the rest of the plant. Steep for 2-10 minutes to your taste.
